About Us!

The Florida League of Mayors is an organization for mayors, founded and developed by mayors. Only mayors are eligible for membership.

The Florida League of Mayors is governed by a 21-member Board of Directors – 10 serve one-year terms and 11 serve two-year terms. The organization is staffed by the Florida League of Cities.
 
The organization provides the mayors of Florida with the ability to explore, in great depth, areas of mutual concern and opportunity.
 
The Florida League of Mayors reflects current public opinion which shows that mayors are widely viewed as the key political leaders in their community and enjoy a high level of public confidence.
 
City mayors serve a large percentage of Florida’s population. In 2004, more than half of Floridians lived in the state’s 410 municipalities.
 
The Florida League of Mayors forges a powerful voice that serves our cities well.
 
Probably the most immediate services we offer to members are networking opportunities with other mayors and quality educational programs.
