DESCRIPTION:There are two days of FLM events: Wednesday\, August 14 and Thursday\, August 15. \nSee the full FLM schedule below: \nWednesday\, August 14\, 2024\n1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. FLM Nominating Committee Meeting \n2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. FLM Forum: Practical Tools for Dealing with Veterans’ Issues\, Mental Health and Community Well-Being \nThis 1.5 hour session is the culmination of FLM President Scott Brook’s yearlong focus on various components of veterans’ issues\, mental health and community well-being that are relevant to all residents in every community in Florida. This moderated session will include two parts: brief presentations (e.g.\, mental health\, substance abuse\, preventing suicide for veterans) and a panel discussion that includes President Brook\, with time for comments/Q&A. Participating Mayors and Vice-Mayors will also receive practical resource materials that can be used in their local communities. \n4:15 p.m. – 5:15 p.m. FLM Business Meeting \n5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. FLM Reception (All Mayors are invited to attend; you may bring one guest with you. An invitation will be issued to your Vice/Deputy Mayor. Please encourage your Vice/Deputy Mayor to participate.) \n6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. FLM Board Dinner (For FLM Board Members only.) \nThursday\, August 15\, 2024\n8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. FLM Board Meeting (Breakfast provided for FLM Board Members only.) \nThe FLM events are held in conjunction with the Florida League of Cities (FLC) Annual Conference August 15-17\, 2024. \nNOTE: If you are attending the FLC events\, you must complete the FLC registration and payment on the FLC website.  \nNOTE WHEN REGISTERING FOR FLM EVENTS: If you are attending both days\, please be sure to select the events you are attending for each day. \nSign In Credentials: Your sign in credentials are the same username and password you use when registering for FLC events.
