The Honorable Geoffrey Jacobs
Mayor, Town of Pembroke Park
First and foremost, I am a father to three children and a husband to an extraordinary wife. I love my family. Understandably, they are my world.
I have built and own a charter, part 135 airline, and I work as an airline pilot, flying the ATR72/42-600. Aviation has been my lifelong passion since I started flying at the age of fourteen. But I also serve our community as the mayor, with a secondary title of police commissioner. Community service is a calling of mine and I enjoy helping others who need it. Protecting our rights is my focus, as they are continually infringed upon.
Over the years, I have started, built up and successfully operated several businesses. I have built a strong working knowledge of governmental agencies and have written operational manuals to satisfy the most anal-retentive government officials. Manual writing is not a task I enjoy, but when something needs to be done, I accept the challenge. This is why I’m in politics. Life could be simple just flying for an airline and raising our family, but if we don’t help others who would we be?
I truly enjoy my career as airline pilot and as the town mayor. Maybe one day I will fly for a major airline, or maybe I’ll end up in congress, but until then, I enjoy the time it lets me spend with my family and affords me the ability to continue serving our community.
