The Honorable Hal Rose
Mayor, City of West Melbourne

Mayor Hal Rose served on the West Melbourne Planning and Zoning Board before being elected to City Council in 2000 and has served as Mayor of West Melbourne since 2007.

Mayor Rose received his Bachelor of Business degree from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida. He is a retired middle school teacher that taught math, career planning, and business education classes.

Mayor Rose has served as President of the Space Coast League of Cities, Chairman of the WM Library Board, Promise in Brevard board member, SACS committee at Meadowlane Elementary, and currently serves on the board of the Field of Dreams. Hal is also a member of the Brevard County Civilian Military Council group as well as the Melbourne and Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce’s.

Mr. Rose just celebrated his 42nd wedding anniversary and loves traveling with his family, hanging out with his granddaughters, being involved with our local communities, working in the yard, likes to keep current with world events, and enjoys following the stock market.
