Heather Lindsay has been a lawyer licensed in Alabama and Florida since 1996. After specializing in employment law litigation and being promoted to partner at a Birmingham, Alabama law firm, Heather returned to her hometown, Milton, to raise her children and work with her father, Allen W. Lindsay, Jr., Esq. Through that work experience, Heather began representing governmental entities, including the City of Milton as its City Attorney. After resigning from that role in June 2018, Heather decided to run for mayor in August 2018. She was elected in November 2018 and re-elected in 2022. In her mayoral role, Heather is involved in advocating for the city’s appropriations requests to the State of Florida. Heather’s favorite part of the job is inspiring young people to be engaged citizens and believe in their capacity to create a better future for themselves and their communities.
