The Honorable Nathan Blackwell
Mayor, City of St. Cloud

St. Cloud is the best city in Florida to live, work, and raise a family. There is no place I would rather live. St. Cloud is where my wife and I have lived and raised our two children for the last 32 years.

My family became residents of St. Cloud in 1988. My wife Trish and I have been married for 48 years. We have two adult children and five grandchildren. I am the founding senior pastor of Cornerstone Family Church.

My educational background includes:

-Associate of Arts Degree in Religion from North Greenville University

-Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from William Carey University

-Master of Divinity Degree in Biblical Studies from Mid-America Theological Seminary

I was first elected mayor of St. Cloud in 2016 and re-elected mayor in 2020. I currently serve on the following committees and boards:

-Christmas for the Kids Osceola Executive Board

-St. Cloud Community Redevelopment Agency Board (Chairman)

-St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Committee

-St. Cloud Dependent Special District (Chairman)

-St. Cloud/OUC Joint Contract Administration Committee

-Tourist Development Council of Osceola County

-Tri-County League of Cities Board of Directors (2nd Vice President)

-Executive Policy Group of the Osceola Emergency Operations Center

I am a strong believer in consensus and collaboration. I have worked diligently to improve St. Cloud’s relationship with the City of Kissimmee and Osceola County. I have consistently worked to prioritize spending on public safety and infrastructure and to keep taxes in check. St. Cloud has earned the reputation of being one the safest and fastest growing cities in Florida. My focus has been to encourage and empower city and community leaders to maintain St. Cloud’s status as a first-class, full-service city.

I am a strong advocate of Home Rule.
