The Honorable Scott Black
Mayor, City of Dade City

Scott Black is a lifetime resident of the Dade City/Trilby area and has been married to Laura for 36 years. He has one 15-year-old son, Hayden. Commissioner Black is a full-time Insurance Agent in downtown Dade City. Commissioner Black was first elected as a City Commissioner in Group 1 on April 10, 1990 and has served since then. He served as Mayor from May 9, 2000 until April 2004 and previously served as Mayor Pro-Tem for eight years. Commissioner Black is a Past President of the Florida League of Cities, as well as the Suncoast League of Cities and the Ridge League of Cities. He serves on the Ridge League of Cities Legislative Action Team and Nettie Draughon Award Committee, as well as the Florida Municipal Trust Board of Trustees. Commissioner Black’s term as Mayor will expire in April 2026.
